PRESVESNA DIARY – 2026 🤩💙💛 Day 1

“Press Spring on the Dnipro Slopes” and the anniversary of the “YUN-PRESS” Media Agency at the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth became a true celebration of youth media creativity!

The 24th International Media Festival and Competition “Press Spring on the Dnipro Slopes” has officially begun.

The opening day was filled with inspiration, excitement, and opportunities for professional growth, uniting young media creators, alumni, and industry experts in one vibrant creative space.

More than 700 participants from 7 countries — Poland, Germany, Sweden, the United States, Lithuania, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine — along with representatives from 19 regions of Ukraine, submitted nearly 980 entries for evaluation by an esteemed international jury. The scale of participation highlights the ongoing demand among young people for high-quality media education and active civic engagement, even during challenging times. The most popular categories included “Journalistic Writing,” “Literary Work,” and “Audiovisual Arts,” featuring photography, television projects, films, and animation.

Over four years of war, the festival has become more than a creative platform for aspiring journalists. It has evolved into a living chronicle of the resilience of the Ukrainian people, with competitive works capturing stories of courage, perseverance, and unwavering faith in victory.

Festival guests included representatives of the Kyiv City State Administration, the Kyiv Department of Education and Science, the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting, YUN-PRESS alumni now working in professional media, university lecturers, and graduates of the YUN-PRESS Media Agency.

🎬 Highlights of the day included:

• Exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences in the media industry, including visits to live broadcasts at Radio M and Radio Pyatnytsia, as well as tours of leading Ukrainian TV channels such as ICTV, 1+1, and Channel 5.

• Interactive activities filled with creativity and teamwork, including the media quest “Kyiv Stories Through the Lens of Media” and a family media battle featuring YUN-PRESS alumni.

The festival reached its peak with a spectacular award ceremony, where the winners of “Press Spring” and outstanding media educators received well-earned recognition for their achievements.
